Introducing the second annual Silicon Labs Sunshine Run! Coordinated by volunteer members of the Young Men's Business League of Austin, this downtown race will bring the community together to have fun, promote an active lifestyle, and raise funds for their worthy benefactor – the Austin Sunshine Camps.

With both 5K and 10K timed/untimed options, the Silicon Labs Sunshine Run is the perfect race for both casual runners and serious racers! By entering the race, you'll get the official

Sunshine Run technical shirt at packet pickup. Competitors listen up – these are certified courses and there are medals and cash prizes for the winners!

And let's not forget about the kids and dogs! Kids are welcome to sign up for the 5K or 10K, but if they aren't quite ready, they can run the Kids K. Yes, your dog can join in the 5K competition as well. The winner will be titled the Fastest Dog in Austin and will awarded a tasty treat.

YMBL & Austin Sunshine Camps

The Silicon Labs Sunshine Run benefits the Young Men's Business League whose main endeavor in money and time is to support the Austin Sunshine Camps. As the only FREE camp in Central Texas, it provides a nurturing environment where our community's low income youth are introduced to camping, conservation, nature studies, physical exercise, and social interaction while enjoying the natural beauty and outdoors of Zilker Park and Lake Travis.

Our programs enrich the community by encouraging and facilitating the power to succeed through education and healthy living. Recognizing education can serve as a transformative tool, Sunshine4Afterschool was developed to arm our participating youth with the skills needed to succeed socially and academically. This program, which focuses on STEM, life skills and outdoor education, brings together middle school students for an afterschool program five days a week.

Austin YMBL Sunshine Camps renders the space and comfort our kids need to look beyond their current situation and dream big.

The Sunshine Run is a non-profit race that's 100% coordinated by volunteer members of the Young Men's Business League of Austin whose goal is to raise funds for their worthy benefactor – the Austin Sunshine Camps. Through our runner's support and generosity, we were able to make a donation of over $35,000. That allows for more than 80 low income kids of Austin to go to camp at no cost to their families!
